Charlton will be looking to extend their lead at the top of League One this weekend when they make the short trip to Brentford.
Brentford’s form at home has been indifferent in the league, but their love affair with the JPT continues, with Bournemouth being vanquished 6-0 at Griffin Park. Last Saturday, the Bees had a Japanese referee in charge of their FA Cup match with Basingstoke. Nothing so exotic this time, though Eddie Ilderton will have to travel down from Tyne & Wear to take charge of the match.
Former Addick Miguel Llera – on loan from Blackpool – is likely to face his old club for the second time this season,
while Gary Alexander and Clayton Donaldson are the type of muscular frontmen that Taylor and Morrison like locking horns
with.
Chris Powell is likely to revert back to his tried and trusted starting line-up but new signing, Hogan Ephraim, will
probably displace Jason Euell in the bench.
Further competition for a sub spot will come from fit again Bradley Pritchard, who skippered the Addicks at Bromley in
the week. This game may come a little too soon for the lively midfielder to be considered for, and Powell may opt to
give him another reserve game before reintroducing Pritchard to the league schedule.
Charlton may look like this:
Hamer; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Hughes, Hollands, Jackson; Kermorgant, Wright-Phillips.
Subs: Sullivan, Cort, Wagstaff, Ephraim, Hayes.
Charlton have not won at Griffin Park recently but such is the confidence in the camp right now, Powell will be
expecting to take all three points.
